82nd Entry Paving at the National Arboretum

Welcome to the 82nd Entry of RAF Halton Apprentices Web Site.

The 82nd Entry were the first entry to be split up into all three Wings. This fact has been incorporated in the Stained glass window,, dedicated and installed in St Georges Church RAF Halton. Where the three colours are prominent. Many thanks to those members of the 82nd Entry, who generously contributed to the cost.

It has been said that the figure resembles a “BRAT” we knew as “TROG” aka Martin Harvey.

The photograph of the window was taken by Glyn Jones, who risked life and limb, hanging from a sky hook to get the best result (well done Glyn) Our thanks to Mike Pond and Martin Harvey for being instrumental in the starting of the 82nd reunions.

From our surplus to the funds subscribed from our members, to the installation of our own window. We have sent a contribution of £20 towards the cost of a window dedicated to Sir Frank Whittle, I am sure all our members will condone this action.
